The Kiwanis Club of Edmonds continued its annual tradition of handing out dictionaries to third-graders in Edmonds schools, and this week distributed more than 400 dictionaries to six schools.

The dictionaries also included a gazetteer section, essentially a geographical dictionary with maps and related information.

Schools receiving the dictionaries included Maplewood and Madrona K-8 schools and Chase Lake, Edmonds, Sherwood and Westgate elementaries.
