Edmonds photo album: Tree-lighting ceremony

Attendees in the holiday spirit.

Santa makes his entrance via fire truck.

The young and the young at heart filled Centennial Plaza in downtown Edmonds Saturday night to sing holiday carols and welcome the arrival of Santa Claus via historic Edmonds fire truck. Finally, the switch was flipped and the holiday tree was officially lit.

My Edmonds News photographer Chad Emerson was there to capture the annual event, which is sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, with PCC Natural Markets, Waterfront Coffee and Nama’s Candy providing refreshments and treats.

  1. It was wonderful to hear the singing and to see the smiles as they say. We were thrilled that they sang songs about the true meaning of Christmas!
