Help Holly House provide low-income children with a holiday

Holly House, in its fifth year of providing holiday gifts and basic necessities to more than 2,000 low-income children in the Edmonds School District, needs your help again this year.

Some Edmonds School District schools have 76-85 percent of families at the poverty level who have limited resources — many children even attend school without socks, underwear or coats.

Stocking stuffers, gifts for teens and necessities are always welcome, but money is the most helpful donation  you can provide. Cash donations are 100-percent tax deductible through the Edmonds-based Fabric of Life Foundation.

Bring your gifts or cash to the Fabric of Life Boutique, 523 Main St.,  no later than Dec. 6. The store is open from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and on Sundays in December from noon-4 p.m.

Volunteers are also needed to set up for the Dec. 18 parents’ free shopping day.
