You can find a 1981 Honda Civic DX 1500 with just 22,866 original miles in the Lynnwood Honda Showroom, but the car isn’t for sale. The Edmonds-based dealership purchased the 30-year-old beauty in honor of Lynnwood Honda’s 30th anniversary.
Since opening 30 years ago on Highway 99 in Edmonds, Lynnwood Honda has sold more than 73,000 new and used cars, trucks and SUVs. To celebrate, the Highway 99 dealership has developed a number of promotions and special events to express their appreciation for three decades of loyal customers.
For example, for every car sold in November, Lynnwood Honda will donate a child’s car seat to low-income families at the Swedish-Edmonds Hospital Child Birthing Center.
Lynnwood Honda President Fred Nelson and his children are continuing a family tradition of automotive sales. Fred’s father, Stanley Nelson Sr., started Nelson Chevrolet in Ballard in 1922. Fred has been in the business since 1935, while his children Erik Nelson and Wendy Nelson Popke joined the Lynnwood Honda team in 1984.
The City of Edmonds is extremely fortunate to have the Nelson’s and the Popke’s as part of our community. Congratulations on your anniversary!!!
Lynnwood Honda is a true asset to the community and a fine dealership. Wendy Nelson Popke and Lynnwood Honda support the local community as well.
The Popke and Nelson families are absolutely some of the finest people in our community – and true assets to our city and region. Congratulations!
