Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling announced Monday that he has named Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Public Relations and Marketing Manager Carolyn LaFave as his executive assistant. LaFave will begin her new job at City Hall on Dec. 27.
According to a news release issued by the mayor’s office, the City of Edmonds received 127 applications for this position, and just six “very qualified” applicants were interviewed.
LaFave has significant work experience as an office administrator, is highly regarded in the community and has “the professional decorum, a strong work ethic and the public relations skills it takes to serve the citizens of Edmonds,” the news release said.
“Carolyn will be a great addition to the staff at City Hall,” Earling said. “She has excellent experience and community relationships that will help smooth the transition in the Mayor’s office,” Earling said.
LaFave will start at the lower end of the executive assistant salary range at $64,500 annually.
Congratulations!
