The Edmonds Sister City Commission is now accepting applications from students interested in visiting Japan in the summer of 2012. This annual cultural exchange program with Edmonds sister city in Hekinan was initiated in 1988 and has organized visits for almost 600 students and their chaperones both to and from Hekinan.

This opportunity is open for up to 15 students, 15-18 years of age. The 15-day trip will run from approximately July 23-Aug. 6, 2012. Recently, the cost of the trip has ranged from $1,300-$1,500 and is dependent on the cost of airfare.
