Edmonds-Woodway’s girls basketball team had a six-point lead at halftime but Kamiak outscored the Warriors by nine in the second half to take a 53-48 Wesco South victory on the Knights’ home court Wednesday night.
Senior Madeline Kasper led E-W with 13 points while freshman Samone Jackson added 11 and Sidney Eck scored nine.
The Warriors have two tough non-league match-ups next week, facing the undefeated Wesco 3A Shorecrest team in an away game Tuesday and hosting perennial high school superpower Lewis & Clark from Spokane Thursday. Both games will be broadcast live on Warrior Radio. You can also listened to past girls and boys games from the current season, which are archived on Warrior Radio.
There was a new twist on the Revelations Yogurt Player of the Game Award: It was awarded to the Edmonds-Woodway varsity coaching staff for their work in preparing the team for Wednesday night’s game.
