Cline Jewelers is hosting local photographer and montage artist Pat Brier during this Thursday’s December’s Art Walk.
Brier recently returned from a tour of the Gold Coast of Dalmatia, where she found inspiration in the colors, history and contemporary art scenes of the ancient civilizations of Venice, Slovenia and Croatia. Fusing her fine art and graphic design backgrounds, Brier creates photomontages that she describes as “blurring the lines of recognizable photography into a more contemporary fine art form. The final image tells a story that can be written by each viewer, as they see it.”
Many will recognize Brier’s style and technique from the Edmonds Mural Society mural that is displayed on the Main Street wall of Sound Styles.
You can meet the artist and view her most current photomontage series from 5-8 p.m., Thursday. Small framed giclee prints, note cards, and a 2012 weekly planner will be available for purchase. Cline Jewelers is located at 105 5th Ave. S., just south of Starbuck’s.
