Reminder: options for Edmonds Christmas tree recycling this weekend and next

Christmas tree getting dried out? Here’s a complete list of locations where local Boy Scout troops will be offering tree recycling during the next two weekends:

Saturday, Dec. 31 and Sunday, Jan. 1 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day
-QFC grocery store parking lot, 196th Street Southwest and 76th Avenue West
-PCC Natural Markets parking lot, Edmonds Way and 100th Avenue West

Saturday, Dec. 31, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 1, 1-5 p.m.
Safeway parking lot, 23632 Highway 99

Saturday, Jan. 7,  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
-TOP Food parking lot, 21900 Highway 99
-Westgate Elementary School, 9601 220th St. S.W.

Saturday, Jan. 7 and Sunday, Jan. 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Safeway parking lot, 23632 Highway 99, Edmonds

Edmonds curbside pickup, one day only, Saturday, Jan.7, daylight hours
South side of Edmonds, mainly neighborhoods south of 224th Street Southwest from Lake Ballinger
into Woodway – all the areas served by Edmonds Way and Firdale Avenue. Homes receiving Troop 367’s door hanger notice and using the service need to have their trees placed at the curb by 8 a.m. on the collection day. Attach the notice to the tree with a rubber band. Donation checks can be made out to Troop 367 and an adult representative will collect it at your door. Contact Ben at 206-533-0222. (Appointments are not required.)

Remember that all decorations, tinsel, tree stands and nails must be removed for the tree to be recycled. No flocked trees accepted.
