Save the date: Volunteer to evaluate EWHS senior projects on April 20

Edmonds-Woodway High School is inviting community members to participate in evaluating the class of 2012’s Culminating Projects (otherwise known as senior projects). All presentations will take place at EWHS on Friday, April 20, 2012. It is a short, morning-only commitment from 7:30-10:30 a.m. People from all trades, professions and backgrounds are welcome.

Volunteer evaluators will have a morning orientation and then will work with an Edmonds-Woodway teacher to listen to and evaluate a few student presentations. These presentations are great interview and career preparation for students, and volunteer evaluators often walk away enjoying meeting students and seeing what they do.

If you’re interested in being an evaluator, save the date — Friday, April 20, 2012 — and email Jillian Wellington, Culminating Project Coordinator, to confirm your interest via [email protected] The high school will follow up with willing volunteers in the spring to provide more information and answer any questions.

You can also email or call Wellington at 425-431-6122 if you have questions.

Thank you – and we look forward to your participation on April 20!

  1. Confirm that this event is taking place on April 20th. April 12th is indicated in the heading. I’ll be there if it’s after the busy tax season! Sign me up, Jillian!
Sooo proud of you… Love, Grandma Eve

  2. This is one my favorite annual events. Every year, I’ve walked away stunned at how incredible these kids are: how broad-minded, how optimistic and eager, and… though hardly a high bar to reach… how much better prepared they are for entering the world of adulthood than I was all those decades ago.

Sign me up again, Jillian! And thank you, Jillian, for coordinating this again this year.
