The driver of the stolen Lexus SUV who was involved in the early Wednesday morning crash in the Swedish/Edmonds Hospital parking lot has been identified as a 29-year-old Seattle man with an extensive criminal history. The suspect — who led police on a chase from 196th in Lynnwood along Highway 99 before turning into the Swedish/Edmonds parking lot and crashing into a tree — was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

According to Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions, the suspect was released from Harborview and then arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding police  Narcotics are believed to have been involved in this early morning incident, Sessions said.

  1. So… why was he transported from a parking lot at a perfectly good hospital down to Harborview. Since he is already out of the hospital, methinks it’s not that he had such a bad injury that he required the trauma center.
