Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 333 calls the week of Jan. 5-11: 265 emergency medical aid calls, 30 motor vehicle collisions, 13 fires, 10 service calls, 4 natural gas leaks, 1 hazardous materials response and 10 automatic fire alarms. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
Jan. 5
COLLISION: At 2:40 p.m., firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a two-car collision at 224th Street Southwest and 80th Avenue West in Edmonds.
Jan. 6
COLLISION: At 4:52 p.m., a car struck a pedestrian at 128th Street Southwest and 8th Avenue West south of Everett. The pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, had minor injuries and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.
Jan. 7
COLLISION: At 1:36 a.m., a pickup truck went up an embankment and into the trees in the median on northbound I-5 north of 128th Street Southwest. Firefighters transported the driver to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
Jan. 9
COLLISION: At 6 p.m., firefighters transported two patients to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a two-car collision at 128th Street Southwest and 8th Avenue West south of Everett. Both patients had minor injuries.
Jan. 10
COLLISION: At 4:30 p.m., a head-on collision involving four cars was reported in the 13300 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters treated four patients at the scene and transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
