Rob English, City Engineer for the City of Edmonds, has been elected the new Cities’ Co-Chair for the Snohomish County Infrastructure Coordinating Committee.
The ICC is a standing committee comprised of public works representatives of the cities, the County and the Tulalip Tribes. Representatives from the Snohomish County Public Utility District and the Washington State Department of Transportation serve on the Committee as well, along with water and sewer districts.
The committee’s mission is to coordinate the planning, funding and implementation of infrastructure and transportation systems in Snohomish County. The ICC meets monthly.
English will also serve as one of the Snohomish County City Regional Project Evaluation Committee (RPEC) representatives at the Puget Sound Regional Council. The RPEC includes public works directors or designees, representatives from transit agencies, the Governor’s office and Washington State Department of Transportation district offices in the region. RPEC meets monthly to make recommendations on criteria and specific projects for federal funding and deal with related transportation planning issues.
“I’m pleased to see continued participation of the City of Edmonds at the regional level and I think Rob will provide excellent leadership on the committee” stated Mayor Dave Earling.
