Updated with photo, more details.
Swedish Medical Center announced Monday that its first baby of the new year was born at 12:01 am on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at (drum roll, please) Swedish/Edmonds.
The 7-pound, 11-ounce baby boy, Weston Isaac, was born to first-time parents Sara and Matthew LaFon of Shoreline. Weston, who was 21 inches long, was delivered by Dr. David Fuhrmann.
Weston (due Jan. 6) came a few days early to earn the honors, Sara told My Edmonds News as the family posed for a photo Monday morning.
To celebrate the occasion, Swedish/Edmonds presented the LaFons with a congratulatory newborn gift basket.
I think you meant to say the LaFons family was presented with a gift basket
Thank you Peter – not sure how that name slipped in there.
Dear Sara and Matt,
Your dad just sent me this link. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THREE OF YOU! Love the name, and love you, too, Matt & Sara! I’m so happy for you.
Cassie is due on January 20th (and they don’t know the gender of the baby yet), but I’ll let you know when it’s born.
Love,
Aunt Laurel
Dear Matt and Sara: Your Dad just sent me this link, also. Could be he is more than a little proud to have another grandson.
What a beautiful picture of all three of you. Your grandparents, Matt, June and Walter LaFon, would be so thrilled for you. As we all are.
Congratulations!
I hope we can get together in the coming months so we can all meet him. Karen is planning a get together later this spring, so her new fiance, Bill, can meet all of the family too.
Love to you all,
Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Al
Congratulations to you all! Sorry I missed the big event, but I look forward to seeing baby Weston grow!
Sounds like everything went perfect….. So happy for you all. Can’t wait to see him!! Martie
