Warrior boys, girls teams lose to Spartans Friday night

Despite a 19-point performance by Devin Joseph of the Warriors, Stanwood stole Friday night’s show 61-56 in a nail-biter matchup of WesCo North squads. The Warriors kept the second-half score close at 34-33 in Stanwood’s favor, but their efforts would fall short as the Spartans’ first half would prove to be too much for Edmonds-Woodway to overcome.

The Lady Warriors lost an exciting 65-54 game to the Spartans at the Stanwood campus. Samone Jackson had 19 points for the Warriors, and was named the Warrior Radio Revelations Yogurt Player of the Game for her performance. Madeline Kasper had 16 points and Sidney Eck added eight points in the loss.

  1. “Despite a 19-point performance by Devin Joseph of the Warriors”.. correct me if I am wrong, but Devin Joseph is not a warrior, I think you meant freshman, Simone Jackson, aka Monie.
