Reminder: Celebrate art Thursday with February Art Walk

Visit Edmonds Art Walk this Thursday, Feb. 16 from 5-8 p.m., and enjoy art, demonstrations and entertainment, including the Edmonds CC jazz band at ArtsNow Gallery; Solar Jazz and ’60s tunes at Fabric of Life; watercolor demos at Aria Studio Gallery and a drawing demo at Edward Jones.

Artists on display include:

Aria Studio Gallery: On-going demos in watercolor by artist Joan E Archer, beginning at 6:30; photography by artist Leah K Goodwin .

Arista Wine Cellars: Tour European vineyards through new photographs by Carolyn Votaw, who can add delightful stories to the pictures through her recent travels there.

ArtsNow Gallery – Edmonds Conference Center: Cheryl Richey’s powerful mixed-media paintings are like visual metaphors to which Lin McJunkin’s fused glass pieces provide an elegant compliment.

Autumn’s Framing: Autumn Kegley’s plein-air landscape and floral paintings capture the beauty of garden and wilderness.

C’est La Vie: Whimsical, colorful, playful! See the wonderful work of local artist Diane Culhane.

Cline Jewelers:  Holy Chocolate! – Handmade Chocolates by Piper from Immaculate Confections. Come taste some wonderful chocolate.

Coldwell Banker Bain: Michelle Harps’ acrylic on canvas, flowers on silver leaf, ocean and color washes.

Cole Gallery: Gorgeous pastel and oils by Sandy Byers and Rip Caswell in a new show entitled “Feathers, Field and Feline”.  Also, stunning bronze sculptures featuring the masterworks of Rip Caswell.

Edmonds Bookshop: Students from EWHS will be showing and selling recently created pieces.

Edmonds Library: Cityscapes, landscapes and seascapes by Charlette Haugen.

Edmonds Vision Center: Beautiful Spanish-inspired, kiln-fired glass jewelry by Dolors Ruscha. Too beautiful to miss!

Edward Jones: The Plein Aire technique takes an artist outdoors with easel and paints to paint the scene before them. Paula Ensign captures our lovely Northwest this way. Also enjoy some mixed media drawings, which she also demonstrates this evening.

Fabric of Life Fair Trade Boutique: Tod O’Driscoll’s humanitarian photography for storytelling with global theme.

Frances Anderson Center: Culturally rich traditional to contemporary prints, carving, and lost and found art creations by Linley B. Logan.

Gallery North: Jurate and Jeff Harrison, and Nomeda Lukoseviciene in Ink, Paper, Paint, and Nature: paintings, photography, and Nomeda’s Verbos – pieces incorporating leaves, flower petals and more.

Housewares: Joy Nolcini captures the magic of our harbors and marinas of the Northwest in her colorful paintings.

Manya Vee Selects: A keen observer of vines, Cheryl Parrott’s sculptural jewelry mimics nature’s art and makes it fun to wear.

Reliable Floor Coverings: Get up close and personal with the amazing beauty of nature in these vibrant photographs by Kimberly Coulter.

Resident Cheesemonger: Vibrant and colorful, check out the budding talent of local E-W high student Blaise Lamb, and his bold abstract paintings.

Rick Steves’ Europe: Enjoy photojournalist Robin Sarmento’s images of western Europe.

Savvy Traveler: Visit the rivers of Washington in these dynamic watercolors by Diana Fairbanks. Also enjoy her book about the Backroads of Washington.

The Papery: Jeanine Langerud shows her lovely local and European floral photographs.

The Loft: Live music begins at 8 p.m.

Wells Fargo: Finn Garaas captures fleeting moments in nature’s constantly changing beauty.

Windermere: Enjoy the vibrant watercolor monoprints of Mary Anderson.
