The surprisingly heavy January snowstorm may have wiped out the Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk last month, but Michele Harps, owner of Michele Harps Art in Edmonds, will again be the featured artist at the Coldwell Banker Bain Office for the event on Feb. 16, 5-8 p.m.
Michele, whose studio is at the Firdale Village Shopping Center, will present a series of large color washes, ocean-inspired paintings and pop-art flowers on silver leaf for the Edmonds how. The paintings remain on display at Coldwell Banker through the end of February.
After studying Fine Arts at the University of Washington, Michele worked as a clothing buyer for the Bon Marche and sold art in local galleries and high-end home stores. She then spent 14 years in real estate, working in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood for Windermere. From 2004 through 2011, she owned and operated Practical Illusions Home Staging, also located in Firdale Village.
She is now completely focused on her art. Her website is www.micheleharpsart.com.
