Edmonds becomes first in nation to launch year-round discount network for veterans

Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling delivers a proclamation of support to Mike Schindler, CEO/founder of Operation Military Family.

Edmonds on Wednesday hosted the ceremonial launch of the Military Veterans Promotions (MVP) network in City Hall’s Brackett Room.

The City, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Edmonds Merchants Association have partnered with Edmonds-based Operation Military Family to promoting MVP, the first year-round discount network of its kind in the U.S.

  1. To all those who participated and attended today’s launch – thank you. The OMF team salutes all those who have and continue to serve and we salute all the 120 plus merchants and citizens that publicly attended. Your support is greatly appreciated!

  2. I agree with Mr. Wambolt on this one… I am proud of our City for taking part in this project. Thank you Edmonds wonderful merchants!

  3. Even though I believe our military is way too big and expensive and, if you really think about it, agruably (and ironically) a threat to our own national security (because so much money needed domestically to make our Homeland and its people healthier is diverted into areas that are destructive rather than constructive), we at ETBD are happy and proud to support the good people serving in our military with this thoughtful program. Thanks for making this available to the merchants of Edmonds.
