It’s committee week for the Edmonds City Council, so there will be no regular meeting. Instead, there will be committee meetings both Monday and Tuesday.
The Council’s Finance Committee will meet Monday at 3 p.m., with one of the items on the agenda temporary staffing for the city’s Human Resources Department. The City Council in October 2011 voted to eliminate the position of Human Resources director — left vacant after former Mayor Mike Cooper fired long-time Human Resources Director Debi Humann — with the possibility of revisiting department staffing after the 2011 election. The item is also on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Public Safety and Personnel Committee.
The Finance Committee will meet in the Fourtner Room of Edmonds City Hall, 121 5th Ave. N. The agenda is:
1. Discussion regarding Human Resources temporary staffing proposal. (15 Min.)
2. General Fund Update – December 2011 (unaudited). (10 Min.)
3. Discussion regarding Budgeting by Priorities. (15 Min.)
4. Discussion regarding updates to various policies. (15 Min.)
