New music store, Alley Bell, coming to downtown Edmonds in April

A new music school is coming to Edmonds. Alley Bell Music will be opening its doors in April at the Barclay Shelton Dance Centre, 413 Bell St.,  and will offer Music Together classes to children ages 0-5 and their caregivers.

By presenting a range of musical styles from lyrical to blues, from folk to boogie, Music Together provides children with a rich music experience that stimulates and supports their growing music skills and understanding. Classes will meet weekly for 45 minutes.

The Music Together classes at Alley Bell Music will be taught by Sarah Richard, a long-time Edmonds resident who earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Western Washington University, and a master’s in voice pedagogy from Texas Christian University.

In addition to teaching at Alley Bell Music, Richard is the music teacher for the Shoreline Home Education Exchange, and has a private voice studio in Lynnwood. She frequently performs as a soprano soloist in the greater Seattle area.

A free demonstration class is being offered by Alley Bell Music on Tuesday, March 27, and you can register for the free demo class here. Spring registration will begin soon, and spring semester classes will start on April 10.
