Edmonds-based Driftwood Players will hold an open house at the Wade James Theater, 950 Main St, Edmonds, on Sunday, March 18. The open house, which runs from noon to 4 p.m., will give interested residents a chance to learn more about the theater and to see parts that the audience doesn’t usually get to see.
Admission will be free. Tours of the theater, including backstage areas, will be conducted. Each visitor will take home a gift from the Driftwood Players.
Tickets will be sold that can be exchanged for food concessions, face painting and in-costume photographs. For photographs, visitors of all ages will be able to don costumes from Driftwood’s collection and have their photo taken under the lights and in front of the Grand Curtain. Visitors can have their pictures taken with or without face paint.
Visitors will also be able to use tickets to purchase earrings and bracelets made by two young residents of Edmonds. Part of the proceeds from these sales will benefit the MS Helping Hands Donor Closet in downtown Edmonds.
