Edmonds-Woodway 15, Cascade 0
The Warriors scored 11 runs in the first inning on their way to a Wesco South rout of Cascade in the home opener for the E-W. Patrick Bernard pitched a one-hit shutout in five innings of work (the game was shortened due to the mercy rule) and went 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI and also scored a run. Bernard was named the Edmonds Sports Academy Player of the Game during Wednesday’s Warrior Radio broadcast.
The Warriors (2-0 league, 4-0 overall) next face Snohomish at 4 p.m. Tuesday at EWHS. The game will be streamed live on Warrior Radio, where you can also listen to an archive of past games at any time.
Lake Stevens 10, Meadowdale 1
Meadowdale led 3-1 at the end of three but Lake Stevens broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning in the non-league contest at Lake Stevens.
