The focus of this first-ever Business Expo is on service businesses, from interior design to health care to financial advice to architecture — and more. It’s your chance to meet local experts in a vast array of specialties — including My Edmonds News founder and publisher Teresa Wippel — and attend seminars presented by area businesses.
The My Edmonds News seminar is scheduled for 10:20 a.m. Saturday. The topic is: “The new frontier of local news in Edmonds: Why our small town has so many media outlets and how it can benefit your business (or nonprofit) through free publicity and paid advertising.” Attend the seminar and you’ll have a chance to win a free My Edmonds News coffee mug!
You can see the complete seminar schedule here.
PCC Natural Markets will provide light fare and door prizes will be awarded every hour. Admission is free to the public. More information is available at the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce website.

Great idea, I think it would have been great to incorporate the college students with the seminars. Wouldn’t it be a fabulous training for college students plus learning, for businesses, to benefit each other. Especially in the realm of all the new computer updates that could be used in many of the businesses in Edmonds. I know when I owned a business, it was hard to keep up with new inventive computer products and “run” a business. I’ll bet it would make it easier for businesses if they new all the new inventive computer driven options available for selling their products or services. Possibly each student be “assigned” a business and see if they could help with any new ideas..
