Pitcher Ryan Budnick started the game and his younger brother Tate finished the job Wednesday as Edmonds-Woodway earned a 6-5 win over Wesco South arch rival Jackson on the Warriors’ home field Wednesday. Alex Hull batted 3-for-4 with a double and drove in two runs for E-W.
Tate Budnick not only closed out the game in the 8th inning to earn the win, he batted 2-for-2 with two RBI and walked three times. He was named the Edmonds Sports Academy Player of the Game for his performance.
You can listen to an archive of the entire game on Warrior Radio, and we will be broadcasting live on Friday when the two teams meet again, this time at Jackson High School.
Way to go Tate!
