Rocking and reading the day — and night — away in Edmonds

Through 5 p.m. Sunday, you’ll see teens from Meadowdale and Edmonds-Woodway high schools reading and rocking — day and night — at the Edmonds Bookshop, part of the second annual Rock ‘n Read Marathon celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

The students, who started their hourly shifts at 11 a.m. Friday, are collecting gently read or new books for the families who attend the weekly food bank at the local Edmonds Methodist Church. You can help by bringing any children’s books to the bookstore, located at 111 5th Ave. S.
