Online registration is your best opportunity for getting into the program of your choice at Yost Pool, the City of Edmonds Parks Department says. Online registration begins at 5 a.m. May 1 at www.reczone.org.

Walk-in registration begins at 11 a.m. May 1 at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St. Bring the completed contact sheet and be prepared to wait in line to register and pay if you choose this option. Phone-in registration begins at 9am May 2. Call 425-771-0230.

And speaking of Yost Pool, here’s the scoop on the Yost Pool Swim Team, a fun, low-key competitive recreation experience for swimmers. Meets are scheduled on Friday evenings or Saturdays. Practices are Monday-Thursday, June 26-Aug. 16. Cost is $165 Resident (R) and $190 NonResident (NR)

Participants ages 8 and under must be able to swim 25 meters of crawl stroke and 25 meters backstroke. Ages 9 and up must be able to swim 50 meters of crawl stroke and 50 meters of backstroke. July 1 is age cutoff date.

Practice times: Ages 5-12: 8-8:45 a.m. or 3:30-4:15 p.m.; Ages 13-18: 8:45-9:45 a.m. or 4:15-5:15 p.m. Parent meeting June 20, 6:30 p.m. at Yost Pool.
