Warrior Patrick Bernard pitched a no-hitter Monday as Edmonds-Woodway High School completed a two-game sweep of the arch-rival Jackson, defeating the Timberwolves 4-1 in Wesco South league play Monday afternoon in Mill Creek.
In addition to pitching a complete game that included five strikeouts, Bernard was 2-for-4 at the plate and was the named by Warrior Radio as the Edmonds Sports Academy Player of the Game for his performance.
The win gives the Warriors, ranked sixth in the state in just-released 4A high school baseball rankings, a 5-0 league record. Edmonds-Woodway takes on Mariner at home Tuesday, with first pitch at 4 p.m. The game will be streamed live on Warrior Radio.
