Cascade Symphony Orchestra to perform Chamber Music favorites April 15

Instrumentalists from the Cascade Symphony will showcase their individual talents in small ensembles as they present CSO’s annual Ensembles Concert on April 15 at 3 p.m. at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St.

The concert will feature unique and varied chamber ensembles from all sections of the orchestra, including a trumpet and bass drum duo, a viola quartet, a variety of wind duos, a string quintet, and selections from the extremely popular Cascade Percussion Ensemble.

Founded in 1962, the Cascade Symphony makes its home in Edmonds and is now in its 50th season. Five subscription concerts, a children’s concert and one chamber ensemble concert are presented each year.

The full orchestra concludes its Golden Jubilee season on Monday, May 14 under Music Director Michael Miropolsky. The orchestra will perform the monumental Ninth Symphony by Beethoven in collaboration with the Sno-King Community Chorale, directed by Frank DeMiero. The performance will be held at the Edmonds Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased at 425-275-9595 or online.
