Walk into C’est la Vie in Edmonds today, Tuesday, and you may be in the only one in the store sporting footwear.
That’s because the retailer is participating in One Day Without Shoes, a campaign to “spread awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life by taking off our own,” according to the website announcing the event. “Millions of children live without proper footwear, exposing them to injury and disease every day.”
C’est la Vie owner Colleen Bowman said that her staff will be supporting the cause by going shoeless for the day. The day of awareness is sponsored by TOMS shoes, a line that C’est la Vie carries.
