Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 316 calls the week of March 29–April 4: 269 emergency medical aid calls, 14 motor vehicle collisions, 11 fires, 10 service calls, 2 natural gas leaks and 10 automatic fire alarms. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
March 29
COLLISION: At 7:34 a.m., three cars collided on the ramp from southbound SR-525 to southbound I-405. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
March 31
FIRE: At 10:50 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in a port-a-potty in the 4700 block of Picnic Point Road north of Edmonds.
April 2
COLLISION: At 4:57 a.m., a two-car collision was reported at 132nd Street SE and Seattle Hill Road north of Mill Creek. Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.
OVEN FIRE: At 7:35 p.m., firefighters responded to an oven fire at an apartment in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue North in Edmonds. Flames were contained to the oven. Firefighters cleared smoke from the apartment and advised the resident not to use the oven again until it can be repaired. No one was injured.
April 4
COLLISION: At 5:40 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on northbound I-5 north of 236th Street Southwest in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
