Edmonds Parks & Recreation is sponsoring an outdoor boot camp geared for all fitness levels and aimed at improving cardiovascular endurance and strength using body weight exercises. The class is held at Edmonds City Park (3rd and Howell) rain or shine on Fridays from 9:30-10:30 a.m., April 13-June 29, for nine weeks (no class April 20, May 25 or June 22. Cost is $54 for residents and $62 for non-residents.
The class includes basic fitness testing, calisthenics, strength training, creative drills, circuits and obstacle courses in a positive environment. Bring 5- to 10-lb. dumbbells and a mat or towel, and dress in layers for weather.
