My Edmonds News columnist “Citizen Harry” Gatjens was the guest recently on “Public Exposure” SCAN-TV with Stan Emert, talking about the financial problems facing not only Edmonds but most municipalities in the U.S during the economic downturn.
Harry’s video should be manditory viewing for all Edmonds citizens. He points out in easy to understand language the primary issues with our budget shortfall in the coming years. Mayor Earling is also making presentations about the budget and our new Finance Director is helping us all understand the comming budget issues.
The bottom line is revenues are not keeping up with the increase of expenses. Harry’s video discussing in lay terms what some of the choices we will have to make to bring our budget back into balance. Thanks for a great video Harry.
