The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors suffered their first loss of Wesco South 4A baseball league play at the hands of Kamiak, which pushed the winning run over the plate in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the game 5-4 Friday afternoon on the Knights’ home field.
Designated hitter Bryce Mezich was named the Edmonds Sports Academy player of the game for his outstanding play, including a clutch hit in the top of the seventh with two outs and the Warriors down 4-3, driving in Ryan Budnick to tie the game.
The Warriors, who are now 6-1 in league play and 8-2 overall, will be seeking revenge next Tuesday, April 10 when Kamiak comes to the Edmonds-Woodway. The game will be broadcast live on Warrior Radio. You can also listened to the archive of all previous E-W baseball games by clicking the “On Demand” tab.
