Sophomore Jason Smarr had an opportunity to play in his first varsity game for the Warriors Monday and he made the most of it, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and five RBI as Edmonds-Woodway downed Mountlake Terrace 14-7 in a non-league game Monday.
For his effort, Smarr was named the Edmonds Sports Academy Player of the Game.
Also helping on offense were Ben Roquet, who went 2-for-2 including a double and two RBI, and Patrick Bernard, who had a triple The Warriors, who lead the 4A Wesco South with a 12-3 record, will host Jackson Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is at 4 p.m. and the game will be streamed live via Warrior Radio.
