AAUW honors junior girls from Edmonds School District high schools

The Edmonds Branch of the American Association of University Women recently held their annual Scholar Recognition Program at Edmonds Community College.  Junior girls from Edmonds-Woodway, Lynnwood, Meadowdale, Mountlake Terrace and Scriber Lake high schools were honored for academic achievement in the areas of science, technology and mathematics.

Carrie Shiu, a design engineer with Boeing Everett, spoke about her lifelong passion with airplanes.

Honorees that were unable to attend included Emma Spears, EWHS; Jorie Tyson, SLHS; Sydney Levin, MHS; Bre Klein, SLHS; and Kalina Billing, SLHS. Congratulations ladies!
