Around town: Floretum Garden Club plant sale

Plant buyers were lined up before 9 a.m. Saturday to purchase a variety of annuals and perennials, small trees, shrubs and native plants grown with loving care by the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club during its Annual Plant Sale in the Edmonds PCC parking lot. Proceeds benefit the club’s scholarship fund, awarded yearly to local college horticulture students.

  1. Hooray for the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club! Did you know that the club has had a plant sale since 1924 which benefits youth and adults studying Horticulture or Landscape design. What a bunch of marvelous ladies and now also gentlemen as well and what marvelous bargains to be had: best plants at dirt cheap prices that they so generously provide from their own gardens.
As a member and Past President I am awed by how much these wonderful people have done and continue to do for Edmonds.
