Citizen votes critical at Thursday’s Strategic Planning and Visioning Community Open House

You may have already given your opinion on a better Edmonds to the Strategic Planning Committee via recent surveys, so now what? The voting. You can do that Thursday during the drop-in session between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Edmonds Library Plaza Meeting Room.

According to Economic Development Director Stephen Clifton, and Edmonds Cultural Services Manager Frances Chapin, Thursday’s vote is vitally important. Citizens who attend will be asked to prioritize  the city stakeholder opinions on everything from the arts, transportation, and the downtown district. Those votes will turn “opinions” into a refined plan.

Citizens do not have to stay for the entire session. It’s a vote-and-go open house to determine your city’s future. More information can be found here.

  1. This is a great opportunity for people who care about Edmonds. Everyone is invited! You can be a business owner, a student, a renter or homeowner. Take about twenty minutes to stop by and let the City’s consultant team know what you think.

The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to set short-term priorities. That is for roughly
    1- 6 years.

It is a chance to set a course for the future.

  2. This sounds like a great opportunity (for Edmonds residents who happen to be available in person during a 3 hour period on a particular evening) to take part in deciding the future of the Edmonds!
