Cruising along

Ron Wambolt took this photo of a cruise ship passing by Edmonds on its way to Alaska Tuesday night.
  1. Real pretty, until you realize how much of their waste gets dumped into the ocean. It is like a small city with no sewer treatment plant. Another example of big corporations making profit for their shareholders and trashing “our” environment.

  2. Sheesh! Can’t we just say that it is a nice photo without editorializing?

    Nice photo Ron!

  3. Good thing a coal train was not passing at the same time, the dust would have blured the picture.

  4. Melissa, YOU can say whatever you want to, as can I, which is one of the few freedoms WE have left. My rose colored glasses were broken a long time ago. Protect yours well so you don’t have to see the world with all its blemishes.
However, I do see beauty all around and believe that the secret to happiness is focusing on the positive. This does not imply ignoring the negative. I think too many people do that, and are responsible for the messes we have created.
Happy Memorial Day weekend. I will be on the river enjoying nature’s beauty and power, and mourning our fellow boater, Drew. Yin Yang
