“Hidden in our Neighborhoods: Domestic Violence” is the topic of a panel discussion from 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 18 presented by the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church as part of their Justice Friday Series. The church is located at 8109 224th St. S.W. in Edmonds.
A panel of four speakers representing police and social assistance workers will speak on the issue of domestic violence, followed by a discussion period. Speakers include Kari Hovorka, Edmonds Police Domestic Violence Unit; Jan Dahl, volunteer speaker for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County; Al O’Brien, retired Seattle police sergeant and former State Representative who now teaches Criminal Justice Legislation at Edmonds Community College and Keith Galbraith, Executive Director of Family Renewal Shelter in Tacoma.
