Meadowdale 5, Ferndale 4

Ethan Coffey hit a double and Matt Hirsch scored two RBI as Meadowdale edged Oak Harbor in the first round of the 3A District tournament. The Mavs will play Mountlake Terrace Tuesday, with the winner headed to regionals.

Softball

Meadowdale 12, Marysville-Getchell 1

The Mavs were paced by the doubles of Ciarra Hart, Hailey Costello, and Shannon Haukup, who also got the win on the mound. Hart hit a solo home run while Lindsey Milner had a triple in the 5-inning win.
