The Kiwanis Club of Edmonds recently donated $200 to the Chase Lake Community School “Bottomless Backpack” Program, which sends food home with students who otherwise wouldn’t have enough food to eat on the weekends.
These funds will be used to purchase new wheeled backpacks or to provide weekend food to additional families in need.
According an email sent to My Edmonds News, the donation aligns with the Kiwanis mission of “Changing the world, one child and community at a time.”
