Reminder: Edmonds Museum’s Garden Market to open Saturday

The Edmonds Museum Garden Market will kick off this Saturday, May 5 with plenty of early-season produce and local craftspeople.  “All signs point to a good growing season,” said Market Manager Neil Landaas.  “It’s going to be a great year.”

Among the items to look forward to at the Garden Market this year:

– Veteran local farmers
– Strawberries
– Blueberries
– Raspberries
– Early-season tree fruit, such as cherries
– Row crops
– Herbs
– Local wineries
– New craftspeople

In all, approximately 40 vendors will set up in the public safety parking lot at 5th and Bell in downtown Edmonds every Saturday through June 23. “The best of Snohomish, Skagit and King counties are all coming to Edmonds,” Landaas said.  The market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The larger Edmonds Museum Summer Market will start June 30.

Proceeds from the market benefit the Edmonds Historical Museum located at 118 5th Ave. N. in downtown Edmonds.  It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1-4 p.m.  Suggested donation is $5 per adult and $2 per child.  For more information, go to historicedmonds.org.
