Culminating Project: I worked with the Sierra Club on their “Beyond Coal” campaign for my senior project. Specifically, my goal was to raise awareness within the Edmonds community about the environmental hazards of shipping coal on trains through the Northwest. It would eventually be shipped to China and be burnt in their energy plants.
Future Educational Goals: Unknown. I have a variety of possibilities open right now, and I do not want to close any doors by focusing on any one thing.
Future Career Goals: Unknown. I want to wait to see what presents itself as a potential career after I’ve studied at college. I’m open to the possibilities.
Anything else we should know? I have been accepted at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Before I enroll, however, I will take a gap year to travel, study music, work and spend time hiking and climbing in the Cascades.
