The search is continuing for a principal to replace Meadowdale High School’s Dale Cote, who is leaving for a job as the Director of School Support for the Juanita Learning Community in the Lake Washington School District.
According to the Edmonds School District website, the application process for the Meadowdale principal’s job closed May 22. Now, three teams of MHS parents, students and staff and school district administrators are participating in a screening process.
“The first team will screen candidate applications and select the top candidates to be interviewed. The second team will interview the selected candidates and recommend the top three candidates. The third team will go on site visits where they will interview coworkers at the candidates’ existing place of employment,” the district said.
The Meadowdale community will have a chance to ask questions of all three finalists during a Principal Forum at high school’s Black Box Theater on Wednesday, June 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
After the process is complete and recommendations have been made, District Superintendent Nick Brossoit will meet with the candidates and make the final selection.
