Those awaking early in some parts of Edmonds on Memorial Day discovered they were without power, but it was restored in a little over an hour, a Snohomish County Public Utilities District spokesman said.
A total of 2,560 customers lost power after a downed tree or tree branch fell on a power line at 3:45 a.m., the spokesman said. Power was restored at 5:07 a.m.
Where was the break?
The PUD spokesperson had minimal details so I’m afraid I can’t answer the follow-up questions!
I don’t know if this had anything to do with it but there was a tree down at the top of Main on the south side that was blocking the sidewalk.
My clocks were flashing 3:18, not 3:45. How could that be? They were on time before that.
Sally — might it have been around 8:25 am when you discovered your clock flashing 3:18? Many digitial clocks reset to 12:00 when the power comes back on and add a minute each minute until they are reset. If it was around 8:25 am, it would have been 3 hours and 18 minutes since the power had come back on.
