Ryan Budnick went 2-for-3 with four RBI and went the distance on the mound as the Edmonds-Woodway High School baseball team beat Arlington 6-1 in the first round of the Wesco 4A playoffs Saturday afternoon on the Warriors’ home field.

Budnick struck out four during his seven innings of work and was named the Edmonds Sports Academy Player of the Game for his efforts.

Next up for the Warriors is Marysville-Pilchuck, who will travel to E-W for a 4 p.m. game Monday. You can listen to the archived audio of Saturday’s game — as well as Monday’s live match-up — on Warrior Radio.
