Two attorneys at the Edmonds-based law firm of Beresford Booth PLLC were honored recently by the research team at Super Lawyers, a ratings service for outstanding lawyers.

Sara Epler has been named to the Washington Rising Stars list — comprised of the top up-and-coming attorneys in Washington for 2012. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers receive this honor. Epler, primarily a family law attorney also practicing estate planning and probate law, joined Beresford Booth in 2007. She is a graduate of the University of Washington and the Seattle University Law School.

David Tingstad made the Washington Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in Washington for 2012. No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers. Tingstad, the managing partner at Beresford Booth, is a business/corporate attorney who also practices in real estate law, joining the firm in 1995.

Super Lawyers, a Thomas Reuters business, rates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.
