The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish County recently presented Edmonds-based Chermak Construction Inc. with a Remodeling Excellence Award in its Kitchen $35,000 to $75,000 category.
From the Master Builders website: Inspiration for this project came from a kitchen set on the cooking show, “Down Home with the Neelys” on the Food Network. To accommodate the sizable new kitchen, cabinet design was pushed into an area of a load bearing wall. The engineering solution came with the addition of a beam and new footings. The high-end appliances include under-counter wine cooler, microwave, gas cooktop with pot filler, turbo-charged hood, French door refrigerator and double ovens. A Sandalo granite dual-height island is great for both seating and prep work. Contrasting antiqued-ivory painted and cherry-stained cayenne cabinetry encircle the kitchen.
