One thousand and one perversions come to the Wade James Theatre in the Driftwood Player’s frisky comedy, “No Sex Please…We’re British.”

Of course it’s all good fun, as newlyweds Peter and Frances Hunter (played by Boyd Morrison and Meagan Castillo) inadvertently take delivery of Swedish pornography just as Peter’s mother decides to visit. Their comic helper bonehead, Brian Runnicles (Terrence Boyd) tries various methods of disposal, including taking a trowel to the loo, pretending to be a cursing parrot, dressing like Butch Cassidy, and, well, making a hash of it, again and again.

On Friday’s opening night, the nearly full house appreciated every perversion and line, such as, “Let go of my jimmy jam jams!” And the triple entendre movie title of “Dick Turpin Rides Again and Again and Again.” Then there were hookers. Don’t worry, it was all a misunderstanding.

One bit of advice – don’t leave early. After the applause, the sharp cast gets in a last bit of naughty business. As they say in the show, “Dick Turpin rides again.” You know the rest of it.

“No Sex Please…We’re British,” plays Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m., through July 8. Tickets at www.driftwoodplayers.com and 425-774-9600.
