Fire District 1 fire calls, week of July 5-11

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 392 calls the week of July 5-11: 314 emergency medical aid calls, 13 motor vehicle collisions, 30 fires, 10 service calls and 25 automatic fire alarms.

July  5
PORTABLE TOILET FIRE:  At 12:37 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire in a portable toilet at Mountlake Terrace High School.

FENCE FIRE:  At 2:20 a.m., firefighters extinguished a fence fire at 162nd Street Southwest and Manor Way north of Lynnwood. The fire was started by fireworks.

DUMPSTER FIRE:  At 2:57 a.m., firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire in the 14500 block of Admiralty Way East north of Lynnwood.

HOUSE FIRE:  At 4:57 a.m., firefighters extinguished a fire that was intentionally set in a vacant house in the 28000 block of 3rd Avenue West east of Lynnwood. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at more than $75,000.

DUMPSTER FIRE:  At 5:25 a.m., firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire in the 1800 block of Filbert Road east of Lynnwood.

DUMPSTER FIRE:  At 9:25 a.m., firefighters extinguished a Dumpster fire in the 4700 block of Picnic Point Road north of Edmonds. The cause of the fire is believed to be fireworks-related.

CAR FIRE:  At 8:13 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire that caused heat damage to another car parked nearby in the 16300 block of 36th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. The fire was determined to be intentionally set.

July 6
COLLISION:  At 10:50 p.m., a motorcycle and a truck collided at the intersection of 212th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the injured motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center.

July 8
DUMPSTER FIRE:  At 8:22 p.m., firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire in the 12600 block of 8th Avenue West south of Everett.

July 9
COLLISION:  At 7:57 p.m., a two-car collision occurred at 5th Avenue South and Edmonds Way. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

July 10
COLLISION:  At 6:21 p.m., a motorcycle and a truck collided in the 21700 block of 66th Avenue Weset in Mountlake Terrace.  Firefighters transported the injured motorcyclist to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
